Community Open House at Doylestown Hospital’s New ER
Join the Celebration March 27-28!
We at Doylestown Hospital are excited to show the community our new, state-of-the art emergency facility! Designed with patient comfort and safety in mind, the new ER has many features you’ll want to check out at our Community Open House during the weekend of March 27-28. There will be lots to see and do for all ages, plus healthy refreshments and giveaways.
Saturday, March 27 is Family Day (10 am to 4 pm)
for Kids of All Ages
• Official ribbon cutting at 10 a.m.
• Family-friendly activities, arts and crafts and face painting until 4 p.m.
• Come meet the loveable Berenstain Bears
• Bring your own teddy bear to the Teddy Bear Clinic where our ER nurses will treat it with TLC.
• From noon-3p.m., Doylestown Township Police will provide child security fingerprinting.
• Tour emergency vehicles like an ambulance, fire truck and the PennStar helicopter.
• Kids of all ages are welcome to join us for guided tours of the ER, refreshments and giveaways.
Sunday, March 28 (11 am to 4 pm) is Community Day
• Take a guided tour of the new ER.
• Talk with Doylestown Hospital staff members about the many features of the new facility.
• Learn about the Woodall Chest Pain Center and why Doylestown Hospital is rated among the Top 10 programs in Pennsylvania for cardiac services.
• Get information about women and heart disease, advances in patient care and life-saving medical hypothermia.
• Take a trip through the ArtWalk that joins the ER with the new parking garage to see artwork by member of the local community.
• Peek into one of the 40 spacious private patient rooms on the second floor of the new building.
• Enjoy refreshments and musical entertainment as you discover why the new ER at Doylestown is such an asset to all members of the community.
