Dr. Charles Burrows specializes in hip and knee replacement surgery. He earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency at Temple University Hospital. In 1993, he received the Lachman Award in Orthopaedic Surgery from Temple University Medical School. Dr. Burrows came to Doylestown Hospital more than a decade ago after completing fellowship training at the University of Pennsylvania/Pennsylvania Hospital.
A sports injury in high school led Dr. Burrows to develop his interest in orthopedics. His concentration eventually gravitated towards hip and knee replacement. Since the mid-1990s, Dr. Burrows has devoted his time and focus to the art and science of joint replacement. Advancements in medical technology have meant less invasive procedures, quicker recovery and more durable, longer lasting implants.
Dr. Burrows has done a number of presentations at professional conferences and in the community on topics including gender-specific knee replacement and arthritis of the hip and knee.

Dr. Burrows enjoys spending time with his family as well as hunting, skiing, canoeing and rooting for Philadelphia sports teams--especially the Philadelphia Eagles football team.
